George Wager
PhD Student

Background
George Wager is a PhD student with a strong background in agriculture and a growing expertise in data science. After completing her BSc (Hons) in Agriculture at Harper Adams University, she pursued the MSc in Data Science for Global Agriculture, Food and Environment—an experience that cemented her interest in the intersection of technology, sustainability, and food security. Supported by the Clyde Higgs MSc Scholarship and the Harper Adams Club Postgraduate Scholarship, George’s research explores how data can be harnessed to improve global food systems, with a particular focus on supply chains and bovine genetics. Her journey into data science began during her undergraduate placement year, where she first encountered R and began developing skills that now underpin her research. Passionate about bridging the digital skills gap in agri-tech, George is driven by a vision of a smarter, more resilient agricultural future.
